COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR ?;SETING.
COMMISS IONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
SEPTE11BER 15th, 1924.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, September
15th, 1924. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett, the
roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of September 8th, 1924,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3027.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the re -curbing and guttering of Fifth
Street in the City of Salina Kansas from the south line of sh
tr�eet to the north line of alnut street in said City, (excepting
the intersection of Fifth Street with Iron avenue) and for the
excavation of such part of said street and the removal of the old
curbing and sidewalk as may be necessary to permit such improvements
and providing for the cost of such improvements, how the same
Shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adpoted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followi vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays:(0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3028.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the re -paving of Fifth Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas from the south line of AsYl 6treet to the
north line of Vialnut Street in said City, and providing for the
cost of such improvements, how the same shall be assessed and
manner of payment therefor. It
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote tineas had; Ayes : Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 3029.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that references to the Mayor and Council-
men or to the Council or to any Committee thereof in ordinances
heretofore adopted, shall be deemed to refer to the Board of Com-
missioners, except as otherwise specifically provided, and provid-
ing that duties to be performed by certain officers and Committees
be delegated to„and performed by certain other officers of the
City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followin�, vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3030.
Taxi Bond from the Keberlein Taxi Company was received,
approved and ordered filed.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
