Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Sep-
tember 1st1924. Meeting was called to order by Acting
Mayor Dyar,, the roll was called and Commissioners Dyar
and Chambers and City Attorney Norris responded. Com-
missioner Hargett abs ent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 25th,
1924, were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An Qrdinance
making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption
the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Dyar and Chambers (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner "argett
absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3022.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading en-
titled: "An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 2800
entitled, "An ordinance regulating the sale of gasoline
upon public streets and thoroughfares within the fire
limits of the City of Salina, Kansas", by adding a new
section to said ordinance to be known as Section 3 of
such ordinance, providing a penaltyforthe violation of
Section 1 of Ordinance Number 2800.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading en-
titled: "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2801 entit-
led, "An ordinance regulating the sale of gasoline from
curb filling stations within the fire limits of the City
of Salina, by adding a new section to said ordinance to be
known as Section 5 thereof, providing f or«a penalty for
the violation of said Ordinance No, 2801.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A petition was received asking for the location of a
Filling Station at the northwest corner of Santa rte avenue
and Ellsworth Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred
to the City Manager to confer with the City Planning Com-
mission.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
