OCTOBER 15th, 1924.
Adjourned meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October
15th, 1924. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett, the
roll vias called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers
and City Attorney Norris responded.
Bids for the re -curbing, guttering and re -paving of
Fifth Street from Walnut Street to Ash Street as advertised
for were received from:
J. L. Rayl Hutchinson; Kansas;
Aexroad & Judy; Salina; Kansas,
Fred Eberhardt, Salina, Kansas.,
J. H. Sheers &- Sons , Hutchinson, Kansas,
Coo k & Ransom Ottawa, Kansas,
J. B. VIatts , 6oncordina, Kansas.
Commissioner Dyar moved that the -contract be awarded
to J. L. rayl as per his bid submitted, and that the certified
checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. Motion
adopted.
Commissioner Chambers moved that the 14yor be authorized
to sign agreement between the City of Salina, Kansas and The
Salina eater Works Company providing for the laying of 6 -inch
water mains on Prescott Avenue from Fourth Street to Third
Street, thence south on Third Street to Crawford Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers Board of Commissioners
adjourned#
