Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October
20th, 1924. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett
the roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the regular MSeting of October 13th,
1924 and the Adjourned Meeting of ctober 15th, 1924 were read
and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled« "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The IVlayor approved the same and is numbered
3038.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance specifying and selecting the material to be used and
letting a contract for the re -curbing and guttering of Fifth
Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the south line of Ash
Street to the north line of `��alnut Street therein, (except the
intersection of Fifth Street with Iron Avenue) and for the re-
paving of said Fifth Street from the south dine of xsh Street
to the north line of Y�alnut Street therein.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reafing entitled'
"An ordinance defining the fire limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas and repealing Ordinance Number 1728 passed and approved
September 15th, 1913; Ordinan�,e 14umber 1842 passed and approved
14ay 17th, 1915 and Ordinance umber 1927 passed and approved
4arch 23rd, 1916, gnd all other ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented by R. A. Rearwin asking fo, the
location of a Filling Station on the northwest corner of anta Fe
Avenue and Elm Street.
On motion same was granted as it had been approved by the
City Planning Commission.
Mayor Hargett appointed Vim. Muir, Ralph Anderson and J. E.
Putnam to act as appraisers in ascertaining thS valuation of cer-
tain lots and pieces of ground in the City of alinailiabltreet
for the cost of re -curbing, guttering and re-pving ��
from the south line of Ash Street to the north line of alnut
Street.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the appointments were con-
firmed.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers Board of Commissioners
adjourned until Friday, October 24th, 1924 at 12 o'clock P. M.
