Regular Meeting of the Board of Commis Rioners I-Iay 12th,
1924. Iileeting was called to order by Iviayor argett the roll
was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and
City Attorney Norris responded.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving Claflin Avenue in the ity of Galina, Kansas
from the west line of Highland Avenue to the east line of Ninth
Street in said City, and providing for the cost thereof, hopf the
same shall be ass essed and the manner of payment therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An Ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinanceroviding for the curbing and guttering of ea Qt
side of Ninth 6treet in the City of Salina, Kansas from the south
line of Jewell avenue to the north line of Cloud Str^et in said
City, and providing for the cost thereof, holy the same shall be
assessed and the manner of payment therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
Notice was received from the United 6tates Fidelity &
Guaranty Company notif ing the City of the cancellation of taxi
bond issued to Jas. I.Tc ade, cancellation to take effect IIay 21st,
1924.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was ordered filed.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
