COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
DECEfi4BER 3rd, 1923,
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, December 3rd,
1923. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett the roll was
called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and City At-
torney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 26th, 1923
were read and approved as read. -
An Ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
2900.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An or4nance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
2901.
A resolution was introduced for first reaing providing for
the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving Eighth
Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from Elm Street to7rine
tree eFt;
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate
of cost for the proposed paving, and on motion of Commissioner
Dyar same was approved and ordered filed, and the date for ad-
vertising for bids to be decided upon at a future meeting.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the construction of certain sewers in the
City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance granting to Missouri Yacif is Railway Company its
successors and assigns the right to construct, maintain and oper-
ate a standadr gauge railroad track over and across Eighth Street
in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 1882 of the City of Salina,
by adding a new section thereto, providing for the payment of a
fee to the City of Salina for the issuance of the permits provided
for in said Ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the moving of buildings in the City of
Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
