OCTOBER 22nd, 1923.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October
22nd, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Priayor Hargett, the
roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 15th, 1923
were read and approved as read..
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance granting to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company,
its successors and assigns, the right to construct, maintain
and operate a standard guage railroad track over and across
Ninth Street in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
City I''anager, Vi. A. Layton submitted the name of B. F.
Green as patrolman of the City of Salina, Kansas, and on motion
of Commissioner Dyar the appointment was confirmed.
Commissioner Dyar moved that the City Manager and Chief
of Police be authorized to put on as many additional men on
the police force as they deem it necessary for the safety and'
welfare of the City.
On motion of Corimissioner Chambers, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
