OCTOBER lst, 1923.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October lst,
1923. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett, the roll
was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 24th,
1923 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2855.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
No. 13-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of" -Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
2856.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
No. 14-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar
and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2857.

"An ordinance creating and establsinging Lateral Sewer llistrict
No. 5-G in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and. on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: YO) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
2858.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Severer District
No. 8-C in the City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and. on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2859.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
No. 19-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
2860.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
No. 11-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The 11ayor approved the same and is numbered
2861.

"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
No. 12-F and 6-G in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Nays: (0) The 4'Iayor approved the same and is numbered
2862.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 4-G in the City of Salina, Kansas. 11
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar
and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The P,Iayor approved the same and
is numbered 2863.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of an 8 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict No. 11-F.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of a 10 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer
District No. 13-F
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first read'ing providing
for the construction of an 8 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict No. 8-C.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of an 8 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict No. 4-G .
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of a 10 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict No. 14-F.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of an 8 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict 12-F and 6-G.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the construction of an 8 -inch sewer in Lateral Sewer Dis-
trict No, 5-G.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the construction of certain side-
walks in the City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating a Board of Trustees of the Municipal
Band Fund, and providing for the appointment of the members of
such Board and defining the duties thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

Petitions were presented asking for the paving of the
street car tracks on:
Santa Fe Avenue from Wilson to liepublic:,
Santa Fe Avenue from Republic to Beloit.
Same were referred to the City 14a.nager to have resolutions
prepared for the paving of the above mentioned streets.
A report was received from the City Planning Commission
recommending the erection of a filling station at the corner of
Beloit Avenue and Santa Fe -'venue.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the report wasadopted.
The following communication was received. from The Salina
Light, Power & Gas Company:
Salina, Kansas. September 26th, 1923.
The Hon. Board of Commissioners,
City of Salina.
Gentlemen:
Ivle hereby accept all the terms, conditions and
stipulations provided in Ordinance #2852 passed by the Board of
Commissioners and approved by the fl?ayor of the City of Salina,
September 24th, 1923.
