CCAiMISSION`,RS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA. KANSAS.
SEPTEMBER 1st, 1923.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners'. Jeptem-
ber 1st, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor
Dyar, the roll was called and Commissioners Dyar and Chambers
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Hargett
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 27th, 1923
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes-. Dyar
and Chambers (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent.
Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2847.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dyar
and Chambers (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent.
Acting Mayor Dyar approved the same and is numbered 2848.

A report from the Mexican School was received, and on
motion same was ordered filed.
41. B. Shirley asked for a special permit to construct a
building on North Fifth Street, and on motion of Commission-
er Chambers a special permit was granted.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
