08-06-1923 Minutes319 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MKETING. To the Hon. Board of Commissioners, City of Salina, Kansas. Gentlemen: The Lateral Sanitary Sewers and Storm Sewers constructed by the Salina Plumbing Company, contractors, under contract dated April 9th, 1923 has been completed and constructed as per plans and specifications. I hereby approve the work done under the above contract and submit same to your honorable body for the acceptance. Respectfully submitted, (Signed) Wm. Theisner City Engineer. Salina, Kansas, August 6th, 1923. To the Hon. Board of Commissioners, City of Salina, Kansas. Gentlemen: The excavating, grading, curbing, guttering and paving constructed by the 11. R. Amerman Paving Company under contract dated March 26th, 1923 and contract dated April 23rd, 1923 and contract dated June 12th, 1923 has been completed and constructed as per plans and specifications. I hereby approve the work done under the above contracts and submit same to your honorable body for its acceptance. Respectfully submitted, VIm. Theisner, City Enginew COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. AUGUST 6th, 1923. Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August 6th, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett. The roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 30th, 1923 were read and approved as read. Dr. Shoemaker appeared before the Board of Commissioners and made a verbal report on the milk situation of the City of Salina. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes." On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes; Hargett, Dyar and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2837. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the purchase of time certificates of deposit from the Sinking Fund of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2838. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 2377, ordinance amending entitled, 'An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1923, being, "An ordinance creating a Board of Public Welfare for the City of Salina and fixing the powers and duties of such Board," and repealing and fixing the powers and duties of such Board, and repealing said original Section, and repealing said Section 1 of such ordinance."
