Special 1,1eetinF of the Board of Commissioners, July 6th,
1923, for -the purpose of hearing any complaints that may be made
by property owners as to the appraisement placed on certain lots
and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas on which to
base the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and. paving:
Ash Street from Oakdale Avenue to Penn Avenue;
P, infi neapol s Avenue from Santa Fe to Ilighl.and;
Phillips eet from Ash Street to Park Street;
fill son reed Trom highland to Ninth Street.
Meeting was called to order by Acting lviayor Dyar, the roll
was called. and Commissioners Dyar and Chambers responded. City
Commissioner Hargett and City Attorney Norris absent.
The appraisers report for the excavating, grading and. paving
of Ash Street from. Oald ale Avenue to Penn Avenue vm s taken up
and read as ollows:

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself does hereby
solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas and is disinterested in any of the -
property liable to special assessment for the cost of excavating,
grading, park -curbing and paving Ash Street from the Viest line of
Oakda�e Avenue to the Yest line of Penn Avenue in said City, and
as more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance lumber
2796 of the City of Salina; and that each of is will to the best of
our judgment and ability make a true and. impartial app ,ai sement of
all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respoectve
street as above described without regard to the buildings or improve-
ments thereon, for the distance to be improved, as set forth and
designated by the Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance iiumber

Avenue to Highland tivenue was taken up and read as follows:
