Adjourned meeting of the Bonrd of Commissioners, April
20th9 1923. 1;Teeting was called to order by lMayor Hargett,
the roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers responded. City Attorney Buzick absent.
The following resolution was introduced for second read -

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas that the construction of a ten (10)
inch sanitary sewer lateral in Lateral Sewer District Number
10-F heretofore established and defined by ordinances is an
improvement necessary to be made and done, and that said sewer
lateral shall extend in said lateral sewer district between
the following limits and bounds along the following course:
Commencing at the present manhole on
Prescott Avenue at eleventh Street,
running thence west on Prescott Avenue
to Twelfth Street, 500 feet. TvTan-
holes as designated on plans.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all the cost and expense
of constructing said sewer lateral be paid by the levy of a
special assessment upon the lots and parcels of land within
said Lateral Sewer District Number 10-F, as provided by
law.

On motion of Commissioner Dyar the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers. (3) Nays: (0)
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating and discontinuing an alley in the
rear of Lots 50-52 and 54 on Santa Fe Avenue in the Grounds of
the Kansas Wesleyan University Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas, south of Jewell revenue."
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett, Dyar
and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2757.
Bids for stage equipment for the 1Temorial Ball were re-
ceived from:
Acne Scenic Artist Studios, Chicago, Illinois,
Fabric Studios, Chicago, Illinois,
Kansas City Scenic Co., Kansas City, Missouri.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar, the matter was taken
under advisement until the Regular Meeting of Hpril 23rd, 19239
at 5:00 P. M.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
