Adjourned Meeting of the Board of.Gommissioners '"arch
20th, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Layor Dyar, the
roll was called and Commissioners Dyar and Hargett responded.
Commissioner Campbell and City Attorney Buzick absent.
Bids as advertised for were received from:
For seating Memorial Hall:
American Seating Company, Chicago, Illinois,
Peabody School Furniture Company, Topeka, Kansas.
Commissioner Hargett moved that the contract for seating
be let as follows:
To Peabod School Furniture Com an , for installing
778 more or ess, Number 4 Chairs., dull finish., brown mahogany,
black standard with grey standard on aisle at a price of ;3.40
per chair, and 7/ additional for grey standard.
Also 720 m ore or less, Number 201 chairs in golden oak,
flat finish with catch in hinges and cross bars at a price of
;2.70 each.
To American seatipg Com an , for installing 1400 more
or less Number 032 chairs w th 5 x 16 inch back, brown mahogany,
dull finish at a price of ;4.00 each.
For stage fitting in Memorial Hall:
Kansas City Scenic Company, Kansas City, Missouri.
Fabric Studios, Chicago, Illinois.
Acme Scenic Artist Studios, Chicago, Illinois.
For Lighting Fixtures in Memorial Hall:
Mid -west Chandelier Company Kansas Oity, Missouri,
Bailey Reynolds Chandelier 6o. Kansas City, Missouri.
Albert Sechrist Mfg. Company, Denver, Colorado.
Commissioner Hargett moved that the bids on stage fitting
be deferred until some future meeting, and that the bids on
lighting fixtures be taken up at an adjourned meeting to be
held March 21st, 1923 at five o'clock P. M.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
