01-29-1923 Minutes..y COMIMISSIONEIRS P- OCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSION?IiS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JANUARY 29th, 1923. Board of Commissioners met in regular session, January 29th, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the roll was called and the Commissioners Dyar and Hargett and Acting City Attorne y Norris responded. Commissioner Campbell and City Attorney Buzick absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeying of January 22nd, 1923 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an apporpriation for the payment of a certain claim." On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett and Dyar (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Campbell absent. The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2672. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim." A petition was received asking for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Twelfth Street from the south line of South Street to the north line Mo—r— son Avenue. Same was referred to the City Manager. A resolution was introduced for first reading providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Twelfth Street from the south line of South Street to the north line or Mor-Ts—on Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for firvt reading providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Ninth Street from the south line of Wilson Street to the north line -of epu lic Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading providin& for the construction of an 8 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral hewer District Number 5-C. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading providing for the construction of an 8 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 6-C. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading providing for the construction of an 8 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral hewer District Number 4-F. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading provid- ing for the construction of a 10 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 5-F. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading provid- ing for the construction of a 10 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 6-F. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading provid- ing for the construction of an 8 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 7-F. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading provid- ing for the construction of a 10 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 8-F. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading provid- ing for the construction of a 10 -inch sanitary sewer in Lateral Sewer District Number 9-F and Number 3-G. On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. The Auditors Report for the year 1922 was received and ordered filed. City Manager, V'J. A. Layton, was instructed to purchase one car of coal for use at the City Building. A remonstrance was received protesting against the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Gypsum Avenue from Front Street to Columbia Avenue; also Ash ree rod`' m`Fenn Avenue to Ohio Street. Same were referred to the City Engineer. On motion of Commissioner Hargett Board of Commission- ers adjourned. X A petition was received asking; for the extension of water main on Columbia Avenue from Gypsum Avenue south about 300 feet. Same was referred to the City P` anager.
