Board of Commissioners met in special session, January 29th, 1923 for the purpose of hearing any complaints that may be made by property owners as to the appraisement placed upon their property for the purpose of paying the cost of paving street railway tracks on: Iron Avenue from Penn Avenue to Delaware Street; Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut Street to a point about 200 feet sou o_?_S_o_uTVh Street. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the roll was called and Commissioners Dyar and Hargett and Acting City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Campbell and City Attorney Buzick absent. The appraisers report for the paving of street railway tracks on Iron Avenue from Penn Avenue to Delaware Street was taken up an7re-a -as follows: STATE OF KANSAS ) ) SS. COUNTY OF SALINE ) We, Wm. Muir, C. J. Peck and W. S. Frey, being duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas and is disinterested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of excavating, grading and paving street railway tracks on East Iron Avenue from the east line of Penn Avenue to the west line of Delaware Street, as more particularly described and providing for in Ordinance Number 2570 of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective streets as above described without regard to the buildings or improve- ments thereon, the distance to be improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance Number 2570 of the City of Salina. Commissioner Hargett moved that the appraisers report for the paving of street railway tracks on Iron Avenue from Penn Avenue to Delaware Street be adopted as amended. Motion adopted.
