JANUARY 15th, 1923.
Board of Commissioners met in regular session, January
15th, 1923. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar the roll
was called and Commissioners Dyar, Hargett and Acting 6ity
Attorney Norris responded. and also Campbell. City Attorney
Buzick absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 8th, 1923
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll wax
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar and
Hargett. (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2654.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes' Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays (0) The Mayor apporoved the same and
is numbered 2655.
The following ordinance was introduced for second reading:
"An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sewer
service pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the followign vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2656.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 6-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2657.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing; Lateral Sewer District
Number 7-F in the City -of Salina, Kanazs."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and �argett (3) Nays: (01 The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2658.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 8-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoptiob tht roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2659.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An Lateral Sewer District
ordinance creating and establishing
Number 9-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2660.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 3-G in the City of Salina, Kansas." -
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was 'read

is numbered 2661.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 6-0 in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett. (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2662.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the construction of certain gas
service pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2663.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the construction of certain water
service pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2664.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating and discontinuing an alley extendiig
east and west from Phillips Street to College Avenue along the
north line of Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Block Two (2) in the
Re -Plat of part of Morrison's Third Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
amd Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2665.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating and discontinuing an alley extending
north and south in Block Two (2) in the Replat of part of Mor-
rison's Third Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2666.
Park Commissioner, L. B. Kemper was authorized to purchase
flowers and plants for the beautifying of the City Parks in an
amount not to exceed $300.00.
City Manager, W. A. Layton, recommended that the City
retire $4,000.00 Bridge Bonds and the $5,000.00 Riverside Park -
Bonds; also that x¢51,000.00 from the Sinking Fund be placed on
Certificates of Deposit to the credit of the Sinking Fund.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
