COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, R:-�IGULAR II-'ETING.

Board of Commissioners met in regular session, December
26th, 19022. 1..Ieeting was called to order by 11,ayor Dyar, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and hargett
responded. City Attorney Buziek absent.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of December 18th, 1922
were read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for second read.ing-'entitled:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of" Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving of Seitz Street -(which is being replatted
as Tenth Street) in the city of lina, Kansas from the south
line of Crawford Avenue to the north line of Frost Street in
said City, be and the same is hereby determined to be a neces-
sary improvement, and that, said Seitz Street in the city of
Salina, Kansas be curbed, guttered, excavated, graded and
p,ved within the limits aforesaid.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was
adopted as read by the following vote: Ayes: Campbell, Lyar
and Hargett (3 ) Nays: (0 )
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
BE IT -RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing, guttering excavating,
grading and. paving of Gypsum Avenue in the City of oa 1 ina , Kansas
from the east line of Front Street to the east line of Columbia
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, be and the same is hereby
determined to be a necessary. -improvement, and that said Gypsum
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas be curbed, guttered, ex-
cavated, graded and raved within the limits aforesaid.
Introduced for first reading, December 18th, 1922.

City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving of Phillips Street in the City of Salina,
Kansas, from the north line of Pa-rIFTtreet to the south 'ine of
Bishop Street in said City be and the same is hereby determined
to be a necessary improvement, and that said Phillips Street
in the City of.Salina, Kansas be curbed, guttered, excavated,
graded and paved within the limits aforesaid.

On motion of Commissioner Hargett the resolution was
adopted as read by the following vote: Ayes: Campbell,
Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0)
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Campbell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 2636.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to Ttrrelfth Street in the City of
Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Campbell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 2637.
An ordinance Yeas introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section Six (6) of Ordinance Number
2440 and repealing said original section."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Campbell, Dyar and Hargett (3 ) Nays: (0 ) The I; ayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 2638.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and. establishing Lateral Sewer District
Number 5-C in the City of §alina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Camp-
bell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mlayor approved
the same and is numbered 2639.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Severer District
Number 4-F in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll t^gas called and the following vote was had; ryes: Camp-
bell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Iaayor approved
the same and is numbered 2640.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and establishing Lateral Sevier District
Number 5-F in the City of Salina, Kansas. it
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Camp-
bell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor.approved
the same and is numbered 2641.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City
of Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of excavating, grading and
paving Ash Street in said City from the east line of Ash
StreetBri ge 'Eo --the east line of Oakdale Avenue therein, and
relating to and providing for the collection and payment of
such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and.levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City
of Salina, Kansas to pay t',e cost of curbing., guttering, ex-
cavating, grading and paving Elm Street from the east side
of Elm Street Bridge to the west side of Ohio Street in said
City and relating to and Rroviding for the collection and pay-
ment of such assessments.'

On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of�ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, and guttering Johns-
town Avenue in said City from the east line of Front Street to
the wies —Tine of Oakdale Avenue therein, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments.'
On motion of Commissi-oner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and. paving Twelfth Street in said City from the north
line of State Street to the sou-tH line of Ash Street therein, and
relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such
assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of excavating, grading and paving
Elm Street from the east line of Third Street to the west line of
FrontS'tre-t in said City, and relating to and roviding for
the collection and payment of such assessments.,
On motion of Commissioner Campbell. same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and. apportioning and. levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating,
gr_('ing and paving Fenn Avenue from the north line of Elm Street
to riverside Boulevard in said City, and relating to and providing
for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordnance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of -ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving Elm Street in said City from the west line of
Front Street to the west side of Elm Street Bridge therein, and
relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such
assessments.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
The following petitions were received asking for the
curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of:
College Avenue from lalnut Street to Spruce Street;
College Avenue from Spruce Street to South Street;
I rr son Avenue from Eleventh Street to Twelfth Street;
1d1ntF_ street__`rom Bond Street to ':'Milson Street,
and for the excavating, grading and paving of:
Ash Street from Fenn Avenue to Ohio Street.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying specizl
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavat-
ing, grading and paving Eleventh Street from the north line of
Iron Avenue to the south 1 ne o State Street in said City, and
relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such
assessment."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell. same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and. apportioning and. levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating,
gr_('ing and paving Fenn Avenue from the north line of Elm Street

for the collection and payment of such assessments."

Board of Commissioners.

On motion of Commissioner Hargett all of the fore-
going petitions were referred to the City Ifenager.
The following petitions were received asking for
the construction of a sewer on:
Milson street from Fifth Street to Third Street;
Republic Avenue from Fourth Street to Third Street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same were re-
ferred to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned until Saturday, December 30th, 1922 at
5 o'clock Y. M.
