NOVEMBER 6th, 1922
Board of commissioners met in regular session, Monday,
November 6th, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor
Dyar, the roll was called and Commissioners Dyar and Hargett
and City Attorney Buzick responded. Commissioner Campbell
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 30th, 1922,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance mak-
ing appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dyar and Har-
gett (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Campbell absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 2612.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:;
"An ordinance relating to the protection of paving and side-
walks in the course of construction; defining a misdemeanor
and providing penalties for the violation thereof."
Commissioner Hargett moved that the ordinance be passed
and approved and at this meeting because of a public emergency
making the same necessary, and on its final adoption the roll
was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dyar and
Hargett (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Campbell absent. The
?Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2613.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section One (1) of Ordinance Number
2477, passed and approved March 27th, 1922, and repealing
such original section."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
City Manager, 117. A. Layton submitted the name of Roy
Bendure as Patrolman in the City of Salina, Kansas, and on
motion of Commissioner Hargett the appointment was confirmed.
City Manager, W. A. Layton submitted the name of Dave
Stell as Night Fireman at the City Building in the City of
Salina, Kansas, and on motion of Commissioner Hargett the ap-
pointment was confirmed.
A petition was received asking for the laying of water
mains in the 1000 block on North Eighth Street in Salina, Kan-
sas, and on motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred
to the City Manager.
A petition was received asking for the extension of grater
mains on Ninth Street from Otis Avenue to Euclid Avenue, and
on Euclid Avenue from Ninth Street to Eleventh Street, and on
motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to the City
Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
