10-30-1922 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MZTING. i COMMISSIONERS ROOM SALINA, KANSAS. OCTOBER 30th, 1922. Board of Commissioners met in regular session, October 30th, 1922. 1feeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and Hargett and City Attorney Buziek responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 23rd, 1922 were read and approved as read. A supplement agreement with The Smith -Graham Construction Company in reference to street car tracks paving was presented. on motion of Commissioner Hargett same was accepted and the Mayor was authorized to sign the same. The following resolution was introduced for second read- ing: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas that the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Cedar Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the west line of Ba er Street to the east line of Phillips Street in said City, be and the same is hereby de- termined to be a necessary improvement, and that said Cedar Street in the City of Salina, Kansas be curbed, guttered, excavated, graded and paved within the limits above defined. Banker, City Clerk. On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was adopted as read by the following vote: Ayes: Campbell, Dyar and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) City Manager, W. A. Layton submitted the name of R. E. Shipe as Special Police, without pay from the City, to be on duty at the Holmquist Dance Hall. On motion of Commissioner Campbell the appointment was confirmed. Mr. Chas. N. Fowler of the Municipal Golf Links, appeared before the Commissioners in reference to the up -keep of the golf links the coming season. The matter was referred to the City Manager to make the necessary arrangements.
