COWTISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBER 23rd, 1922.
Board of Commissioners met in regular session, October
23rd, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and Hargett
and Acting City Attorney Norris responded. City Attorney Buzick
absent.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting of October 14th, 1922
were read and approved as read.
City Engineer, Wm. Theisner, submitted the following report
and acceptance of the Smith -Graham Contracts dated March 9th,
1922 and May 2nd, 1922:
Salina, Kansas. October 9th, 1922.
To the Hon. Board of Commissioners,
City of Salina, Kansas.
Gentlemen:
The excavating, grading, curbing, guttering and paving
constructed by the Smith -Graham Construction Company under con-
tract dated March 9th, 1922 and contract dated May 2nd, 19223, has
been completed and constructed as per plans and specifications.
I hereby approve the work under the above construction
and submit same to your honorable body for its acceptance.

On motion of Commissioner Hargett the report was accept -
ed.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 2610.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote wsa had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor appoved the same and
is numbered 2611.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of
Cedar Street from Baker Street to Phillips Street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
H. D. Lee Flour Mills asked for a permit to construct a
switch track from their mill across Ninth Street.
The matter was referred to the City Engineer to confer with
said milling company relative to this matter.
Park Commissioner, L. Be Kemper was instructed to purchase
the necessary bulbs for the use in the City Parks the coming seas-
on.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of c ommissioners
adjourned.
