COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBER 14th, 1922.
Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session, October
14th, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dyar and City
Attorney Buzick responded. Commissioner Hargett absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 9th, 1922
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance wzs introduced entitled: "An ordinance mak-
ing an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and
Dyar (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent. The 11.ay-
or approved the same and is numbered 2609.
The following resolution was introduced for second read-
ing:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
city of Salina, Kansas, that The Salina k{later Works Company be
and it is hereby instructed to lay and install a six-inch wat-
er main with water hydrants located as directed by the Fire
Chief of said City from the end of its present main at the
intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Pacific Street thence west
on Pacific Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Eighth Street, thence
north on Eighth Street from Pacific Street to Harsh Street.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was
adopted as read by the following vote: Ayes: Campbell and
Dyar (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent.
The maintenance of the Smith -Graham Construction Com-
pany was received, and on motion was accepted and ordered
filed.
City Manager, W. A. Layton, submitted the name of
Andrew Mercer as Motorcycle Police, and on motion of Commis-
sioner Campbell the appointment was confirmed.
City Manager, W. A. Layton, submitted the name of P. E.
Charbonneau as Patrolman, and on motion of Commissioner Camp-
bell the appointment was confirmed.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
