Board of Commissioners met in regular session, October
9th, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the roll
was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dyar responded. Com-
missioner Hargett and City Attorney Buzick absent.
The minutes of the regular Yeeting of October 2nd, 1922
were read and approved as read.
Mr. Banz of Sterling, Kansas appeared before the Commission-
ers in reference to the establishment of a svrimming pool.
The matter .as taken under advisement by the Board of Com-
missioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading providing
for the extension of water mains on .Pacific and Eighth Streets.
On motion same was referred.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance vas read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: uampbell and D-var
(2) I1ays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent. The I._iayor approved.

and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the follovring, vote leas had; Ayes: Campbell and Dyar.
(2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Hargett absent. The I,1iayor approved
the same and i. s numbered 2608.
A petition asking for the extension of a water ~Lain on
Columbia Avenue from Johnstown Avenue to ksh Street was received
and on motion same was referred to the City llfanager.
A petition asking for the extension of a water main on
Pacific Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Seventh Street, thence
north on Seventh Street from racific to Marsh Street was received
and on r1otion same was referred to the City 15anager.
°. request from the Board of -Id.ucation was received requesting
the Board of Commissioners to make immediate provisions .for the
paving* of Cedar Street b, tween ehillips Street and Baker Street.
On motion, same was referred to the City Tanager.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the bid of ?yrs. Trow
for the house and bid of r l reeves for the garage was accept-
ed.
An estimate was received for the extension of the touter on
the City Building. On motion, same was ordered placed on file.
The commissioners authorized the purchase of two (2) F'ire-
foam Fire Extinguisl-�ers at each.
City I anager was instructed to €;et prices on two tires for
the sprinkling wagon.
Insomuch as the Mayor and other City officials v!ould be
absent from the City, Lionday October 16th, 1922, Corrr!issi oner
Campbell moved that the Board of Commissioners adjourn and. meet
Saturday, t, . Pa. October 14th, 1922 at five o'clock to transact
any business that might be necessary at the regular meeting.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board. of Commi ss oners
adjourned.
