Board of Corcr-issioners r:et in regular session, July
31st, 1922. 1,,eeting was called to order by Ila-, or Dyar,
the roll was called and Oormissioners Car.pbell and Dyar
and Acting City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner
Hargett and City Attorney Buzick absent.
The mirutes of the regular meeting of July 24th,
1922 and Adjourned r.eeting of July 25th, 1922, were read
and approved es read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
r�ak.ing an appropriation for the payment of a certain claire."
On irotion of Commissioner Canpbell the ordinance was j
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption
the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Campbell and Dyar (2) hays: (0) Comriissioner Hargett
absent. The I,Iayor approved the same and is nur,bered
2554.
An ordinance was introduced f_'cr ~econd reading en-
titled: "An ordinance authorizing the issuing of i-r-
rovement bonds of the City of Salina in the sure of.
23,503.06."
On notion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption
the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Carpbell and Dyar (2) Nays: (0) Cornrissioner Hargett
absent. The i'ayor approved the sar:le and is nur,-bered 2555.
An ordinance vias introduced for first reading entit-
led: An ordinance vacating certain alleys in the City
of Salida."
On -faotion of Cm,-nissicner Campbell sane was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
Chas. dren, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce,
appeared before tree Board of Connissioners and offered some
suggestions relative to the clearing of streets in the
business districts of the City.
City h`an,-ger '4. A. Layton, submitted the name of
J. H. Bowrin and h. E. Reed. as special `,vatchr.en for the
Union Cacific Railroad Company.
