_I✓ Board of Commissioners met in regular session Monday,
May 15th, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, and
the roll eras celled and the following vote was had; _Ayes: Camp-
bell, Dyar and Hargett and Acting City Attorney Norris responded.
City Attorney Buzick absent.
The minutes of the Special Meeting of May 8th, 1922 and
the 'regular Meeting of May 8th, 1922, were read and approved as
read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was rend
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and. Hargett. (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the sane and
is numbered 2498.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section Number One (1) of Ordinance Number
1911 and repealing such original section."
On motion of Commissioner Hargett the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar
and Hargett. (3) Mays: (0) The Mayor approved the same ar_d
is numbered 2495.
The following resolution was introduced for second reading:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas that the building and construction of
certain storm sewers, manholes and catchbasins of the kind and
location in the City of Salina, Kansas as hereinafter described,
are improvements necessary to be made and done:
A twelve (12) inch storm sewer on Bond Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas beginning at the end of the present
twelve (12) inch storm sewer 225 feet west of the intersection of
Highland Avenue and bond Street therein, running thence west to
the center of'Ninth Street in said City, with one manhole at the
end of said sewer on ninth Street, together with two catchbasins
on the east side of Ninth Street, all as shown on the plans of
the City :Engineer.
A twelve (12) inch storm sewer on i4epublic =avenue in
the City of Salina, Kansas commencing at the manhole at the end
of the present twelve inch storm sewer at the intersection of
Highland Avenue and. Republic Avenue. and running thence vest on
republic Avenue to center of ninth Street in said City, with one
manhole at the end of said sewer on Ninth Street, all as shown
and designated upon the City nngineerss plans.
One catchbasin at the southeast corner of the inter-
section of Ohio Street and Ash Stre t in said City, as shown
by the City Engineers plans therefor.
A twelve (12) inch storm sewer beginning at the pres-
ent manhole on Otis Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas be-
tween �'in•hth Street and Ninth Street, running thence nor. tlraest
across the southwest corner of Block Sixyt-Four (64) in the
Episcopal Military Institute :;addition to the City of Salina, Kansas
and continuing to the intersection. of Ninth Street and Inez Street,
with one manhole at the end of said sewer on Ninth Street, and one
catchbasin on the west side of Ninth Street near Inez Street,
all as shown by the plans of the City Engineer therefor.
AND BE IT rUR`I'H ! ;-tASOLVED that said storm sewers,
manholes and catchbasins as above described be constructed and
made.

City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing, guttering-, excavating,
gradin7 and paving Fourth Street in the City of Salina, Kansas,
from the north line of SouEh Street north to the intersection of
said street and the Smoky Hill River, at or south of the Iron
Avenue Bridge, be and the same is hereby determined to be a neces-
sary improvement, and that said Fourth Street in the City of Sali-
na, Kqnsas, be curbed, guttered, excavated, graded and ,raved with-
in the limits above defined.

grading and paving Penn Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, from
the north line of Elm Stree- to Riverside Boulevard in said City
be and the same is hereby- determined to be a necessary improve-
_ meat, and that said Penn Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas be
curbed, guttered, excavated, graded and paved within the limits
above defined.

be a necessary improvement, and that said Ninth Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas be curbed, guttered, excavated, graded and
paved within the limits above defined.

The following resolution was introduced:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas that the Mayor and City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the said City the Agreement entered into between the City of
Salina, Kansas party of the first part, and A. M. Barnard, party
of the second part, bearing date of May 9th, 1922, providing for
the construction and building of a certain pergola in Oakdale
Park in the City of Salina, including all plumbing, drains and
drinkin7 fountains, all as described in the plans and specif-
cations of the City Engineer of said City, for the building and
construction of said pergola as filed in the office of the City
Clerk of said City on the 25th dalT of April, 1922.
