FEBRUARY 20th, 1922
Board of Commissioners met in regular session February
20th, 1922. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and Hargett
and City Attorney Buzick responded. ,
The minutes of the regular meeting of February -13th, 1922
Adjourned Meeting of February 14th and February 16th, 1922, were
! read and approved as read.
Mr. Chas. Bren appeared eared. before the Commissioners in refer-
ence to the sprinkling of Santa Fe Avenue the coming season.

Commissioner Campbell moved that the matter be taken under
advisement.
-� The following resolution was presented for second reading:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of'Commissioners of the
f City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving of Crawford Avenue in the City of Saliha.
Kansas from the west line o Fifthreet to the east line of
Santa Fe Avenue in said City, be and the same is hereby deter-
mined to be a necessary improvement, and that said Crawford
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, be curbed, guttered,
excava ed, graded and paved within the limits above defined..

entitled: "Paving unpaved portion of Santa Fe Avenue occupied
by the tracks of the Salina Street railway Company lying south
of the south line of Walnut Street to a point 200 feet south of
South Street."

The following resolution was introduced for first reading
entitled: "Paving unpaved portion of Iron Avenue occupied by
the tracks of the Salina Street Railway Company lying east of the

be made for electric current and gas in the City of Salina, Kansas,

entitled, "An ordinance stablishing certain maximum. rates and
charges to be made for electric current and gas in the city of
Salina, Kansas, and letting the contract therefor", and repealing
said original sections."

"An ordinance regulating the handling and sale of dairy products
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing a peanalty for the
violation thereof. 11

On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to

On motion the City Manager was instructed to advertise for
bids for the painting of the same.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and esti-
mate of cost for the construction of certain storm sewers in
the City of Salina.
Commissioner Hargett moved that same be adopted and ap-
proved by the Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
The following resolution was introduced for first read-

On motion of Commissioner Hargett same was referred to
the Board Commissioners.

City Manager W. A. Layton, submitted the name of J. A.
Anddrson as special police at Washington High School, without
pay from City.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the appointment was
confirmed.
Commissioner Campbell moved that the City Attorney draft
an ordinance prohibiting tampering with the electric light and
j water meters in the City of Salina.
VI, M. McMickle appeared before the Commissioners in refer-
ence to refund on Pool Hall license issued for the last half of
1921.

Commissioner Campbell moved that same be allowed. Motion
' carried.

Commissioner Hargett moved that the City Engineer prepare
a list of the sidewalks that should be constructed the coming
season.
A remonstrance protesting against the curbing, guttering,
excavating, grading and �a ving of u'tashington Avenue from Tenth
Street to Twelfth Street was presented.
'Mayor Dyar referred the s ame for investigation.

The matter of painting the Grand Stand and Judge's Stand
in Kenwood Park was discussed.
On motion the City Manager was instructed to advertise for
bids for the painting of the same.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and esti-
mate of cost for the construction of certain storm sewers in
the City of Salina.
Commissioner Hargett moved that same be adopted and ap-
proved by the Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Hargett, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
