Commissioners Room,
Salina, Kansas.
August 8th, 1921.
Board of Commissioners met in regular session, Yon. -
day, August 8th, 1921. Fleeting was called to order by
Mayor Dyar, the roll was called. and Commissioners Camp-
bell, Dyar and Hargett and City Attorney Buzick responded.
The minutes of the regular meeting of August lst,
1921, were read and approved as read.
The proposed budget for theyear 1922 was read.
Miss Aleta Brownlee, representing the Red Cross
of the City of Salina, appeared before the Commission-
ers and requested that the Commissioners designate a
fund for a public health nurse for the coming year.
Roy Perkins, appeared before the Commissioners and
asked the Commissioners to create a. fund in the amount of

The Board of Commissioners decided to take these
matters under advisement.
Prof. Heusner of the Board of Education asked per-
mission to remove the frame school building now located
on the Phillips School ground to the Longfellow School
ground.
A petition was received asking for the curbing,
guttering, excavating, grading and xa ving of Washington
Avenue from Tenth Street to Twelfth Street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred
to the City klanager.
On kotion of Commissoner Hargett, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
