07-05-1921 Minutes21)PC, G 1 1 1 1 1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS COMMISSIONE{;RS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JULY 5th, 1921 Board of Commissioners met in regular session, July 5th, 1921. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dyar, the roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and Har- gett and City Attorney Buzick responded. The minutes of the Aegular Meeting of June 27th, 1921; and Special Called Meeting of June 28th, 1.921, were read and approved as read. A remonstrance was received protesting against the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Elm Street from Oakdale Avenue to Ohio Street. On motion, same was referred to the City Manager. A petition was received asking for the curbing, gutter- ing, excavating, grading and paving of Morrison Avenue, from west line of Tenth Street to west line of Phillips Street. City Attorney was instructed to draft a resolution providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of the above named street. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entit- led: "An ordinance classifying, creating and establishing certain departments and offices, for the conduct and control of the governmental and administrative affaris of the City of Salina, Kansas, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 86, of the Session Laws for 1917, relating to the govern- ment of all the cities in Kansas and to establish an option- al form of government after the adoption of the provisions of said Act; defining and fixing the duties of the officers and employees within said departments and offices, and re- pealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with its terms." On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance makint appropriations for miscellaneous purposes." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was read and adopted by Sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dyar and Hargett. (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2396. The following resolution was introduced for first reading: "Providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Morrison 'avenue from west line of Tenth Street to west line of Phillips Street.` On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. -" The following resolution was introduced for first reading: "Providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and,p aving of Baker Street from the south line of Walnut Street to the north line of South Street." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commis- sioners adjourned. City Clerk.
