Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioners Room
Salina, Kansas
April 25th, 1921
city Commissioners met in Regular session April
25th, 1921. Meeting called to order by Mayor vyar, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell, Dyar and Har-
gett, and City Attorney Buz ick responded.
The minutes of the regular council Meeting of April
18th, 1921, and organization of the Board of Commissioners
were read and approved as read.
A number of pet it ions from property owners request-
ing the City Commissioners to pass a resolution for the
paving of certain streets was received.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same were referred
to the City Attorney to draft the necessary resolution to
be presented at the next Regular Meeting.
Commissioner Campbell moved that the City Clerk
notify the Salina Light,, Power 8: Gas Company to submit an
estimate for the cost of constructing a White Way system
on Fifth Street from �`+alnut Street to Ash Street. Said
estimate to be filed on or before the next regular meet-
ing of Mtay 2nd, 1921.
Park Commissioner, L. B. Kemper, made requisition
for one car of Sherman gravel to be used in constructing
walks in the City Parks.
Commissioner Hargett volunteered to take the matter
up with the officials of the Union Pacific Railroad Company
to see if same could not be procured from them.
An ordinance was introduced and read entitled: "An
ordinance vacating the south 300 feet of the alley running
and extending north and south through the block lying be-
tween Elm Street and Pine Street, and Front Street and Sec-
ond Street in the City of Salina, Kansas. "
Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners for
dinal action to be taken at the next Regular Meeting of May
2bd, 1921.
There being no further business appearing, on motion
of Commissioner Hargett, the Board of Commissioners ad-
journed.
