Councilman Spaeth moved that the report of the committee be accepted and th,.t the City Attorney be instructed to draft a resolution or ordinance carrying the same into effect with care that, the same be ,•iithout prejudice to or change of the City's rights as ,)rovided in ex _sting ordin-:nces or agree lents. The matter of water extension to the Standard Gil Company's plant was generally discussed by the lvIayor and Council. Councilr;:an Spaeth moved that the Corporation and 1`ranchise Corv.littee interview the Salina eater +`orks Company and get a def- inite answer, as to whether or not the Uompany intends to place this extension, and if not, the City advance the o ey for said extension. i:'-otion adopted. I A petition y=ias received askin for the curbing, gutter- ing, excavating, ,,railing and paving of a ilson ''treet from the east line of Santa Fe -,venue to the west line of Fifth Street. Same ,was referred to the Street and Tilley Committee. A petition was received asking for the location of an arc light at the corner of Beloit avenue and Santa Fe =ivenue. Sarre was referred to the Sti°eet and Tilley Committee. A ,petition was received asking for the location of a side=°ralk on the west side of Connecticut --venue from Johns- town Avenue to Iron '.venue. Same was referred the Sidewalk Committee . A petition was received asking for the construction of a sidewalk on the east side of Eleventh Street from Charles Street to Cra,iford revenue. Same was referred to the Sidewalk- Committee idewalkCommittee . A petition was received asking for the extension of water mains on Spruce Street from College -venue to Railroad � treet . Same was referred to the Corporation and Franchise Corruiiittee. Councilman Dyar moved that Council adjourn until Feb- ruary 8th, 1921, at 5 o'clock Y • is of ion adopted. City Clerk.
