Regular semi-monthly meeting; of the City Council, Decem-
ber 15th, 1919. W,a:yor i!athews presiding, City Attorney C-. :.
Spencer and the following named councilmen answered to roll
call; Stolper, Dyar, =>paeth, Rowell, Na.rne, 0aite, .6radford
and L,eter-c. Councilmen Ryberg and Todd absent.
The minutes of the Regular semi-monthly m.eetirg of De-
cember 1st, 1919, were read and approved as read.
T,9r. L. r,. Var_'lrine of The United Telephone Company ap-
peared before the L'ouncil and stated that the construction
gang; that was employed in laying the underground cable was
ready= to proceed with the work, and oiaranteed the Council
that, in the future tr_ere would be no difficulty in the mat-
ter of placing the parkinGs in first-class condition, stat int;
that by leaving the surplus dirt on the ground the freezing
and thawing of the woil would settle the ground in first-
class shape, and that any time the property owners wished to
sees; their parkings this fall the surplus dirt would be removed.
At any future time the parkings would settle the company would
fill in the necessary dirt to brim; the parking up to the prop-
er grade .
Councilman Lyar moved that permission be grant ed if all
of the above conditions were complied with.

Cri motion of Councilman Spaeth the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll
was called and the following vote was had; Ales: Stolper,

(8) Nays: (0) Councilr:en Ryberg and Todd absent . The

On motion of Lour_cilman Peters the rules of crd_er were
suspended for it consideration by the following vote; tiyes:

On r.etion of Councilman Ha:rne the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called, and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stolper, Dyar,

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance

On motion of Councilman Spaeth the rules of order were

Col:ncilman Lear of the marks and Park-inc, Committee men-
tioned that the Riverside Park owned by P. L. Gebrart could be
Purchased at a reasonable figure.

in a report at a future meeting.

On motion of Councilman Harne, Council adjourt.ed until
