Spencer and the following named councilmen answered to roll call; Stolper, Dyar, =>paeth, Rowell, Na.rne, 0aite, .6radford and L,eter-c. Councilmen Ryberg and Todd absent. The minutes of the Regular semi-monthly m.eetirg of De- cember 1st, 1919, were read and approved as read. T,9r. L. r,. Var_'lrine of The United Telephone Company ap- peared before the L'ouncil and stated that the construction gang; that was employed in laying the underground cable was ready= to proceed with the work, and oiaranteed the Council that, in the future tr_ere would be no difficulty in the mat- ter of placing the parkinGs in first-class condition, stat int; that by leaving the surplus dirt on the ground the freezing and thawing of the woil would settle the ground in first- class shape, and that any time the property owners wished to sees; their parkings this fall the surplus dirt would be removed. At any future time the parkings would settle the company would fill in the necessary dirt to brim; the parking up to the prop- er grade .
