JUNI 16th, 1919. -- Special Session of the Mayor and Louncil, June 16th, 1919. for the purpose of considering and hearing complaints from property owners as to the valaution placed on certain lots and pieces of ground to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving Third Stree ,from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm -'Jftreet ; Alley,between Santa Fe Avenue and Seventh street from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm Street; A11ev, bet ween Seventh Street and Eighth Street from the north line of Iron Avenue to the south line of Ash Street. Mayor Mathews presiding, City Attorney G. A. Spencer and the following named councilmen answered to roll call; Stolper Dyar, Spaeth, Harne, Ryberg, Waite, Bradford., Todd and Peters. council- man Howell absent. The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering, excavating, Fading and paving of Third Street from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm Street was taken up and read as follows: STATE OF KANSAS ) ) SS. COUNTY OF SALINE ) We, Byron Wilder, M. E. Ford and W. M. Garrison, being duly- and ulyand severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does here- by solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, and is sdisinterested in any of the property liable to special w ssessment for the cost of curbing, guttering, excavat ink, grading and paving Third Street from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm Street, as more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance No. 2244, of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective streets as above described, without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, the distance to be improved, as set forth and designated by the Mayor and Council in said Ordinance 1`;o. 2244. Motion adopted.
