Adjourned Meeting, Council Proceedings.
COUNCIL CHAMBER,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JULY 20th, 1917. -
Adjourned meeting of the City Council, July 20th, 1917. Mayor
Mathews presiding, and the following named councilmen answered to
roll call; Underwood, Grimes, Henry, Smith, Mishler, Reed, -Brown,
Waite and Todd. Councilman Peters and City Attorney G. A. Spencer
absent.
Bids for the plumbing, heating and wiring of the new Fire Sta-
tion, from the Salina Plumbing Company and the City Plumbing Com-
pany were taken up.
Councilman Henry moved that the contract be awarded to The
Salina, Plumbing Company as per their bid for $2400.00 Motion
adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance letting
the contract for the plumbing, heating and electric wiring and
apparatus of the new Fire Station for the city of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Councilman Henry the rules of order were suspend-
ed for'its consideration by the following vote; Ayes: Underwood,
Grimes, Henry, Smith, Mishler, Reed, Brown, Waite and Todd. (9)
Nays: (0) Councilman Peters absent.
On motion of Councilman Brown the ordinance was readn and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Underwood, Grimes, Henry,
Smith, Mishler, Reed, Brown, Waite and Todd. (9) Nyas: (0)
Councilman Peters absent. The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 2075.
On motion of Councilman Underwood, Council adjourned.
