Mayor Mathews presiding, City Attorney Guy A. Spencer and the following named councilmen answered to roll call; Underwood, Crimes, Henry, Smith, Mishler, Reed, Brown, Waite, and Todd. The request and call for meeting and the report of service on the same was read as follows: Salina, Kansas, May 23rd, 1917. To Edd Mathews, Mayor, Salina, Kansas. We, the undersigned, members of the City Council, of the city of Salina, hereby request you to call a Special Meet- ing of the City Council to meet in the Council Chamber, Wednesday May 23rd, 1917, at 8 o'clock P • Pvi • for the purpose of passing an ordinance providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $18,000.00 to ay the cost of improving certain streets in said City of Salina.' (9) Nays: (0) we On motion of Councilman Henry the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Underwood, Grimes, Henry, Smith, Mishler, Reed, Brown, Waite and Todd. (9) Days: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 2040. On motion of Councilman Brown, Council adjourned. City Clerk.
