DEC-OVIL L 18th, 1916.
Special session of the Mayor and Council, December 18th,
1916, for the purpose of hearing complaints from property owners
as to the valuation placed on certain lots and pieces of ground
to pay the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and
paving Bishop Street from the west line of Ninth Street to the
east line of Thirteenth Street.
Mayor Putnam presiding, City Attorney W. B. Crowther and the
following named councilmen answered to roll call; Miller, Under-
wood, Wolff; Henry, Swedenburg, Mishler, Ostberg, Brown, Mathews
and Bateman.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving of Bishop Street from the west line of Ninth
Street to the east line of Thirteenth Street was taken up.
It was discovered that the north boundary of said street was
not correctly platted, and on motion of Councilman Swedenburg
the report was referred back to the Committee to have the necessary
corrections made, and Monday evening, January 1st, 1917, at 7:30
o' clock was designated as a Special Meeting at which time the report
will be taken up again and acted upon by the Council, and all persons
affected by such improvements can be present and be heard if they
so desire; and that the City Clerk give notice in the official
City paper as provided by law.
