Adjourned meeting of the City Council, December 11th, 1916.
Mayor Putnam presiding, City Attorney W. B. Crowther and the fol-
lowing named councilmen answered to roll call; Miller, Underwood,
Wolff, Henry, Swedenburg, Mishler, Ostberg and Brown. Council-
men Mathews and Bateman absent.
The minutes of The Special Meeting of December 4th, 1916;
and the Regular Semi -Monthly Meeting of December 4th, 1916, were
read and approved as read.
City Engineer, Y. G. Wakenhut, made a verbal report in refer-
ence to paving Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut Street to North Street;
stating that he had not received the tests of the material sent
to the Kansas City Testing Laboratory, and asked for further time.
Councilman Brown moved that furthet time be granted and
that the City Engineer be requested to bring in a written report.
Motion adopted.
Councilman Brown asked that Section Two (2) of Ordinance
No. 1981.be read. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance amend-
ing Section Two (2) of Ordinance No. 1981."
On motion of Councilman Henry the matter was deferred until
the next Regular Meeting of December 18th, 1916; and suggested
that the citizens committee that had recommended said paving to
the Council be invited to be present. Motion adopted.
Mayor Putnam appointed E • L. Wilder, J. Earl Wyatt and
Ralph Anderson to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation
of the lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment
for the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving
Twelfth Street, from the north line of Ash Street to the south
line of Bishop Street; and on motion of Councilman Swedenburg the
appointments were confirmed.
Mayor Putnam appointed C. W. Lynn, Wm. Hansen and W. S. Frey
to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation of the lots and
pieces of ground liable to special assessment for the cost of
curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and paving College Avenue
from the north line of Park Street to the south line of Bishop
Street; and on motion of Councilman Swedenburg, the appointments
were confirmed.
Mayor Putnam appointed T. D. Fitzpatrick, C. J. Peck and
C. L. Wight to act as appraisers in ascertaining the vAluat ion
of the lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment for
the cost of curbing, guttering, excavating,grading and paving
' Prescott Avenue from the west line of Ninth Street to the east
line of Eleventh Street; and on motion of Councilman Swedenburg
the appointments were confirmed.
Mayor Putnam appointed E_ L. Wilder., J. Earl Wyatt and
Ralph Anderson to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation
of the lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment

Bond Street from the west line of Santa Fe, Avenue to the east line
of Highland Avenue; and on motion of Councilman Swedenburg the
appointments were confirmed.
Mayor Putnam appointed C • W. Lynn, Wm. Hansen and Henry 11.
Eberhardt, to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation of
the lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment for the
cost of curbing and guttering Seventh Street, from the north line
of Elm Street to the south line of Pine Street; and on motion of
Councilman Swedenburg the appointments were confirmed.
On motion of Councilman Henry, Council adjourned.
