Corporation and Franchise Committe� reported favorably on the following water rpsolution.: W IT aMLOLVED, by the Payor and CouncliTen of the city of of Salina, Kansas, that the Salina Water Forks Company be and it is hereby directed to lay the following water mains and locate the fol- lowina fire hydrants: a six (6) inch main on Phillips Street from South to Morrison Avenue, and on Morrison from Phillips to Twelfth Street, and to connect with the present main at Twelfth Street and Morrison, and at Phil LiDs and South, A six (3) inch wain on Elm Street from Kansas Avpnue, east to Des Moines Avenue, and on Des Moines Aven"e, from Ash to Elm, to connect with the present main at Elm and Kansas, and at Ash and Des Moines, A six (6) inch mnin on ihillips Street, from Iron Av,nne to Walnut Street, to connect with the present mains at each of such rains, land_ to locate on such mains fire hydrants as directed by the Chief of toe Fire Department of the City.'' City Engineor's plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the construction of certain sewers, were received and on motion of Councilman Willer were adopted by the CounciT. Bids for the construction of sewers, as advertised for, were received as follows: Knudsen and Atart, and 0. T. Snyder. Councilman Henry moveQ that the contract be awarded to Knudsen and Ahart, as per their bid., and that the certified check or G. T. Snyder be returned. Notion adopted. Councilman Brown moved that the City Clerk notify R. B- Snyder that he must procure a permit from The Public Welfare Board, for the conducting of a Dance Hall, or his Ticense heretofore issued, will. be revoked. Motion adopted.
