COUNCIL CHAMBER,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 3rd, 1916.
Adjourned meeting of the City Council, May 3rd, 1916.
Mayor Putnam presiding, City Attorney W. B. Crowther and the fol-
lowing named councilmen answered to roll call; Miller, Underwood,
Wolff, Henry, Swedenburg, Mishler, Ostberg, Brown and Mathews.
Councilman Bateman absent.
Councilman Brown moved that the City make the following
offer to J. M. Mac Taggart & Co., Auditors, Kansas City, Missouri:
The Council offers the sum of Pour Hundred Dollars, Q400.00j
to audit the City Treasurer's books from January 20th, 1908 to
the end of the fiscal year June 30th, 1916; and the City Clerk's
books from December 24th, 1910 to the end of the fiscal year,
June 30th, 1916. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the appointment of a City Engineer, specifying his duties,
and fixing his compensation and repealing Ordinance No. 768, passed
and approved May 18, 1891." Same was referred to the Ways and
Means Committee.
On motion of Councilman Miller, Council adjourned.
