Special session of the Mayor and Council, December 20th, 1915 I,for the purpose of considering and hearing complaints from property owners as to the valuation placed on lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment for the curbing and guttering of Thirteenth Street, from the north line of the right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company to the south line of Grand Av- enue; also for the paving and excavating of Eleventh Street, from the south line of. Walnut Street to the north line of South Street; and for the' paving and excavating of Fifth Street, from the south line of Walnut Street to the north line of Prescott Avenue. Mayor Putnam presiding, City Attorney W. B. Crowther and the following named councilmen answered to roll call; Miller, Underwood, Carney, Wolff, Mishler, Hagler, Ostberg and Mathews. Councilmen Sweden - burg, and Bateman absent. The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of Thir- teenth Street, from the north line of the right -of -;gay of the Union Pacific Railroad Company to the .south line of Grand Avenue, was • taken up and read as follows: STATE OF YPdISAS ) COUNTY OF SALINE ) SS. Eberhardt and Ralph Anderson, being duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing and guttering Thirteenth Street, between the north line of the right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company and the south line of Grand Avenue, as more particularly de- scribed and provided for in Ordinance No. 1883, of the City of Sa- lina; and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and abil- ity make a true and impartial appraisement of all. the lots and piec- es abutting on such respective street, above described, without re- gard to the buildings or improvements on said lots and pieces of ground, the distance to be improved, as set forth and designated by the Mayor and Council in said Ordinance No. 1883.
