COUNCIL CHAMBER,
SAL INA � KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 5th, 1915.
BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this Friday evening, November
5th, 1915, the Council met as canvassers (ex officio) as provid-
ed by law, to canvass the vote cast at the Special Election held
in the city of Salina, Kansas, on the 2nd day of November, 1915,
for the proposition to issue bonds in the sum of X40,000.00 for
the purchase of parks and playgrounds. Mayor Putnam presiding
and the following named councilmen responded to roll call; Miller,
Underwood, Carney, Wolff, Hagler and Mathews. Councilman Swe-
denborg, Mishler, Ostberg and Bateman absent.
The returns of the Special Election were presnted by the
City Clerk, and opened by the Mayor in the presence of the Coun-
cilmen assembled, duly canvassed, and the result declared, and
the Clerk was directed by vote of the Board to spread upon the
Journal the result of the canvass, which is done as follows:

And that the City Clerk make record as the result of the
canvass that the Board finds and does declare the proposition to
issue bonds in the sum of 40,000.00, for the purpose of purchasing
parks and playgrounds, was legally defeated by the following vote:

On motion of Councilman Mathews the report and findings of
the Canvassing Board was received and ordered spread upon the
Journal.
On motion of Councilman Underwood the Canvassing Board ad-
journed.
