Special session of the Mayor and Council for the purpose of hearing complaints of property owners as to the valuation placed on lots and pieces of ground liable to assessment for the paving, curbing, guttering and excavating of lash Street between College Avenue and Rail- road Street; also Thirteenth Street between Ash Street and Bishop Street. Mayor Putnam presiding, City Attorney W. B. Crowther and the following named councilmen answered to roll call: Miller, Underwood, Carney, Wolff, Swedenburg, Hagler, Ostberg and Mathews. Studebaker, being duly and severally sworn according td) law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the city of Salina, Kansas, Saline county, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of paving Ash Street, between College avenue and Railroad Street, as more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance No. 1838 of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective street above described without regard to the buildings and improvements on said lots and pieces of ground, the distance to be improved, as set forth and designated by the Mayor and Council in said Ordinance No. 1838.
