The matter was referred to the Sewer and Drainage Committee with power to act. nn ordinance was introduced: "An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sewers in the City of Salina, Yansas, letting the contract therefor, and providing for the payr-.ent of the cost of the sar,o . A petition askin,_ for the opening of an alley between FiiShland Avenue and Ninth ;street, 4010 feet south of :'Milson Street, twelve (12) feet in width, was received and referred to the Street and Alley Com- mittee. A petition asking for the location of an Arc Light on Tenth Street, mid -tray between elm Street and T,,-issouri Pacific Tracks was received, and referred to the Street and Alley Committee.
