COUNCIL CHAMBER,
SALINA, KANSAS.
DECI10ER 7th, 1914.
Special session of the Mayor and Council, for the purpose of
considering and hearing complaints of property owners as to the valua-
tion placed on lots and pieces of ground liable to assessment for
the cost of paving and excavating the alley between Fourth and Fifth
Streets, from Iron avenue to Walnut Street. Mayor Niquette presid-
ing and the following named councilmen answered to roll. call: Miller,
Underwood, Dodds, Carney, Swedenburg, Mishler, Hanly, Hagler, Benson
and Mathews.
The report of the appraisers was taken up and read as follows:
We, the undersigned, duly appointed and qualified
appraisers, appointed to view and appraise the property subject to
special assessment for paving the alley between Fifth and Fourth Streets
from south line if Iron avenue to north line of Walnut street, Salina,
Kansas, do hereby certify that we have actually viewed the premises
and appraise the same as shown by the attached list of property own-
ers and their holdings.
