ue, about 201 fciet, August 3rd, 1.914, and that the City Clerk advertise
for bids, asking for bids on Vitrified PavinL; Bloke<.,,, oil a five ii -ch con-
crete base; also six inch cerient paving.

On motion of Councilman Diller, the appoiritrnents were confirmed.
On motion of Councilman Hanly the services of the Dog Catcher was
dispensed with.
The following resolution was introduced:
"Resolved by the Mayor and Council, that the Kaw Paving Com-
pany is hereby required to repair, and put in good condition the asphalt,ic-
concrete pavement on all streets in the city of Salina, where such pavement
is cracked, shows depressions, and settlements and is out of repair.
That such repairs be made at once and that the same be
made in such manner that the said pavements, when so repaired, will comp -Ly
with the specifications for the original. pavement of such streets, and
with the bond given by said Kaw Paving Company, at the time such paveiient
was laid, guaranteeing sash pavement for a period of five years from and
after its acceptance by the city; and be it furhter resolved that a copy
of Chir resolution be sent to the Kaw Pa- ing Company, arid to the different
surety companies on such bonds; a more definite de scription of the pave -
Trent so to be repaired may be had upon inquiry from tl-,,e City Engineer of
said city and insirectior_ og t,ti.e pavement.
