I COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 21st, 1928.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August
21st,•1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds responded. City Attorney Norris absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and
other purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year
1929."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helver-
ing, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
same and is numbere=d 3597.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the
building and construction of a certain main sanitary sewer in
Main Sewer District "P" and a sewage pumping station., and for
the construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 143, 146, 148 and 150, and provid-
ing for the issuance of temporer y notes to pay the cost
thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. '
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
