COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 16th, 1928.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August
16th, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell ,
and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
Proposed Budget for 1929 was presented and considered
by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the City Clerk give notice
of said Budget in the official city paper, as provided by law.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for and authorizing the rebuilding
and reconstruction of certain parts of certain sewers of the
City of Salina, and providing for the issuing of bonds to
pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessments against certain
property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on certain lots and
parts of lots and on the parkways abutting thereon in the City
of Sal ins. rr

On motion of Commissioner Dodds, same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessments against certain
property to pay the cost of constructing certain water service
pipes in certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessments against certain
property in the City of Salina to pay the cost of constructing
certain sidewalks therein."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners. l
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance repealing certain ordinances and parts of ordi-
nances relating to and creating certain storm sewer districts
and levying assessments to pay the cost of storm sewers con-
structed therein."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
