C OMML SIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JUNE 25th, 1928.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, `'une
25th, 1993. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helver!ng,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June l8th, 1928
were read and approved as read.
An Ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and defining certain Main Sewer Dis-
tricts in the City of Salina, designated as Main Sewer Dis-
tricts "P" and "Q' and providing for the constrw tion of a
Main Sewer in Main Sewer District "P" so created; providing
for the cost thereof and for the levy of special assessments
against the property in such district for the payment of such
cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the construction of a pumping sta-
tion for the purpose of pumping the sewage of Main Sewer Dis-
trict "P" into the existing sewer located on Eleventh Street,
at Wilson Street, in order to conduct the sewage of Main
Sewer District "P" to a point of outlet."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
Appraisers reports for the construction of a lateral
sanitary sewer, District No. 141, on Center Street from
Fourth Street to Kenwood Park entrance; and District 1V0-
142, in the alley between Ninth Street and Tenth Street
from Lincoln Avenue to North Street, were received, and on
motion of Commis. oner Campbell,, Monday, July 2nd, 1928,
was designated as a Special meeting at which time the reports
will be taken up and acted on by the Boardof Commissioners,
and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice in the
off is ial city paper as provided by law.
A petition was presented asking for the sanding of
Gypsum Avenue from Columbia Avenue to Connecticut Avenue.
On motion, same was ordered filed.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
