Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 21st,
1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell, and Dodds and
City Attorney Norris responded.
Meeting vias held for the purpose of hearing any complaints
that might be made by property owners as to the valuation of
certain lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment
for the cost of curbing, guttering and paving:
Lincoln Avenue from Santa Fe "venue to Ninth Street;
Minneapolis Avenue from Ninth Street to Highland Avenue;
Oakdale Avenue from Iron Avenue to Gypsum Avenue,
for the paving of:
Cedar atreet from Phillips Street to vollege avenue;
Ninth Street from North Street to Lindoln Avenue;
Alley between Seventh and 71ghth Streets from fish
Street to Elm Street;
for the curbing and guttering of:
Center street from Fifth Street to entrance to Kenwood
Park.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and paving
of Minneapolis Avenue from Ninth Street to Highland "venue was
taken up and read as follows:

Vie, John Frederick, E. D. Martin and Ralph A. Smith, being
duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the
property liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing,
guttering, grading and paving Minneapolis "venue in the City of
Salina, Kansas, from Ninth Street to Highland Avenue in said City
as more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance
Dumber 3517 of said City, and that each of us will to the best of
our judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement
of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective
street as above described without regard to the buildings or im-
provements thereon for the distance to be improved as set forth
and designated by the Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance
Number 3517. So help us God.

for the curbing, guttering and paving of Minneapolis hvenue
from Highland Avenue to Ninth Street be adopted as read. Motion
carried.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering grading
and paving of Lincoln Avenue from Santa Fe "venue to Vfinth street
Pias taken up and read as follows:
