COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 6th, 1928.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Febru-
ary 6th, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 30th,
1928 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: An ordinance
making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes&"
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering,
Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 3501.
Application for Pool Hall license for the first half
of 1928 was received from Roy J. Muller.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell license was granted
subject to the approval of the Welfare Board.
Bids for fire hose as advertised for were received
from:
G. H. Baird, Hays Kansas
Eureka Fire Hose 6ompany,
Lee Hardware Company,
Bi Lateral Fire Hose Company.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the bid of Lee Hardware
Company for Double Jacket C.R.L. at X1.48 per foot (with
3"x2.1" Anderson Couplings) be accepted. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Campbell moved that Mayor be authorized to
sign contract for the above named fire hose.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the appropriation of certain pri-
vate property for the opening, widening and extending of
Eleventh Street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading
andpoving of Lincoln Avenue from hwest line of Santa Fe
Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell meeting adjourned.
