COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 20, 1932.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 20, 1932. i
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey and Spaeth and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Pafford absent.
City Engineer sbbmitted.plans and specifications and estimate
of cost for the curbing and guttering of:
Ohio Street from Iron Avenue to Gypsum Avenue;
Chicago Street from State Street to Walnut Street; f

n3giland Circle from Ellsworth Avenue to Beloit Avenue;
Sunset Drive from Highland Circle to Pershing Street;
for curb�ingg guttering and paving:
Borth btrreet From Santa Ife Avenue to Fifth Street;
Jewell Avenue from Ninth Street to Eleventh Street;
nirwin Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Fourth Street;
Front Street from Walnut Street south to Smoky Hill River;
for repaving at intersection of Ohio Street and Ash Street.
On motion of Commissioner Benfield same were approved by the
Board of Commissioners and the City Clerk was instructed to ad-
vertise for bids for such improvements to be received up to and
including Tuesday, May 31st, 1932 at 4:00 P. M. Motion carried.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing and guttering of north side of
Republic Avenue from west line of Ninth Street to east line of
Tenth Street
Commissioner Spaeth moved that resolution be adopted as read
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayeg: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey and Spaeth (4) Nays: (0)
Commissioner Pafford absent. Mayor approved the same and is numbered
534. r
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 191 of Reso-
lution Book Number 2.
City Clerk was instructed to publish notice notifying property
owners to install water, sewer and gas connections, where same are
not now installed, in advance of paving to be laid during the summer
of 1932. Motion carried.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to improving of certain portions of Ninth Street
from the south line of Jewell Avenue to center line of ClFu"a StRef,
with Bituminous Mat surfacing, and repealing Resolution No. 532."
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading; entitled: "An
ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4056 relating to the
parking of vehicles on certain streets in the City of Salina and
repealing said original Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4056.11
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Benfield the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
