COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 2nd, 1932.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 2nd, 1932.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor St&venson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth and
City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 25, 1932 were read

and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and

adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Paf-
ford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 4147.
A protest was presented against the curbing and Battering of
Frost Street from Ninth Street to Sherman street. Same was referred
o t e Ufy Tngineer.
The matter of re -zoning Clodfelterts Replat for the erection of
a Spanish Court was taken up and discussed by the Board of Commission -

Commissioner Benfield moved that recommendation of City Plan

ning Commission be sustained and that the proposed amendment be denied.
Motion
carried.
The following communication was presented by the City Engineer,
showing the completion of Storm Sewers No. 10-A and 14:
Salina, Kansas. May 2nd, 1932.
Hon. Mayor and City Commissioners,
Salina,
Kansas.
Gentlemen:
The H.
J Taylor Construction Company, Contractor, Salina,
Kansas, has completed the construction of Storm Sewers No. 10-A and
No. 14, Job No. 61 under contract dated. November 19, 19310 in a
satisfae tory manner and I am attaching a copy of the final estimate
and recommending that the work be accepted and the estimate be allowed.

City Engineer submitted Final Estimate to H. J. Taylor Construe'
tion Company for the construction of storm Sewers No. 10-A and No. 14,
under contract dated November 19, 1931.
Moved by Commissioner Benfield and seconded by Commissioner Paf-
ford that work be accepted and final estimate of City Engineer be ap-
proved. Motion carried.

' Application No. 61 for temporary cloth sign to be erected on
building located at 113 North Santa Fe Avenue received from the Kansas
Dry Goods Company. No action taken on said application.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners ad-
journed.
